Terry Way

Terry is an FAA-certified Commercial Pilot and CFI. He has been flying on the Big Island of Hawai'i since 2004.

I -love- flying! I first piloted an airplane in 1983... and each new flight is just as thrilling as my first.

Aviation is in my blood. My father was a captain in the Air Force, and later flew for Pan Am. My mother was a flight attendant — guess how they met. My brothers have built airplanes, taught hang-gliding, and worked as Air Traffic Controllers. Family lore has it that an ancestor jumped off cliffs with Otto Lilienthal!

Mike Rushton

Mike is an FAA-certified Commercial Pilot, Single Engine Land and Sea, and a CFI-I. Mike taught Terry how to fly in Hawai'i, and worked with Terry on his CFI rating.

Mike spends his summers bush-flying in Alaska.
